Bunker is responsible for keeping the company on the leading edge of the security industry. He is an expert in the field of Internet security, and his experience early on in this industry is key to his role in the company's product development. Previously, Bunker was the security officer for Match.com, a leading Internet personal classifieds company. As one of the early members, he was responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of an infrastructure that grew into hundreds of servers in a mixed and distributed environment. This system housed one of the most trafficked sites on the Internet. As early at 1997, he was dealing with security issues at a profitable Internet company with millions in annual revenues. In this e-commerce environment, where the company's web sites were driving online subscription revenues, the effects of business interruption could be directly calculated into revenue and profit loss. Additionally, any breach, resulting in a compromise of loss of customer data, could have a devastating impact on the company's reputation. This extremely high bar created an environment that lead Mr. Bunker to pioneer innovative ways of streamlining security activities, measuring security performance and integrating security management into the core business process.
Bunker holds the CISSP certification and is a member of the Dallas Infragard and North Texas ISSA chapter. He has also served as a panelist at security seminars/events speaking as a security expert.
