Asset Management

Your security and compliance management process is only as good as your ability to understand your asset baseline, and then separate and group assets into a meaningful structure. This meaningful structure serves two purposes: Compliance Reporting and Vulnerability Remediation.

FusionVM delivers core asset management features that allow for flexibility in reporting and management. 

Discovery – Each scan job populates the asset management database with new assets.

Tagging – Detailed tagging capability enables you to apply your own naming system for the assets created in FusionVM. Tagging can be used to reflect ownership, criticality, business use, business application, compliance mappings or any other important labels.

Search – Users with permissions to Asset Management functionality can search the asset database by various parameters, both standard and configurable.

Reporting and Policies – Policies can be applied to an asset or groups of assets. Compliance reporting can be viewed by any tag group or specific tag.

Unlike basic vulnerability scanners, FusionVM enables both IP centric reporting, as well as asset centric reporting. This flexibility enables operational, mitigation oriented views for IT teams familiar with security reporting, and business asset view for compliance teams not needing operational details.
